CONFIRMATION OF MEDIATION
Mediation Date: Monday, November 7, 1994 Mediation Time: 9 a.m. Location: Anyplace School District Office
601 South Harmony StreetParticipants: Albert and Patricia Green; Maurice Blanc; Vivian Sweet, PAVE advocate; Harriet Anderson, special education coordinator, Marvin Evans, teacher, Peter Parson, school district psychologist. The parties have agreed to the participation of the above-named persons in the mediation. No other persons will be allowed without prior mutual consent of the parties. Other persons may be available by telephone or on an on-call basis.
We commend your willingness to resolve this dispute through mediation. The enclosed brochure describes the mediation process and hopefully answers your questions. Several other important points:
- Relevant documents may be brought to and discussed at the mediation. Copies should not be forwarded to our office.
- Mediations are confidential settlement negotiations. Tape recording is not allowed.
- Agreements will be documented in writing and signed by the parties. Neither the mediator nor the mediator's notes will be available for further procedures such as a due process hearing.
- The length of a mediation cannot be predicted. Accordingly, we reguest that you reserve the entire day for the mediation. You are encouraged to bring a lunch or snack
- Mediators alter their work schedules and travel many miles to conduct mediations. Please be prompt, and call this office at least one business day in advance if necessary to reschedule. If you have any questions, please call 800-692-2540 or 206-842-2298 (Seattle area).
