NETS•S Curriculum Series—Multidisciplinary Units for Grades 3–5
ISTE, 2002
ISBN 1-56484-176-6

NETS•S Curriculum Series—Multidisciplinary Units for Grades 3–5 builds on the 1999 blockbuster, Connecting Curriculum & Technology. Other books planned for the series include Grades PK–2 and 6–8, selected secondary subject areas, and special education. Teachers, curriculum coordinators, and education professors will love the new series format, which is:

  • organized thematically into units with hundreds of fun, original classroom activities;
  • geared to content standards and assessment criteria; and
  • full of tools, tips, and resources for extending lessons, using the Web, and project collaboration.

Plain-language introductory essays help teachers integrate technology into different classroom configurations, discuss cooperative teaching strategies, explore problem-based learning, explain how to use the Internet effectively and responsibly, and describe the creation of assessment rubrics. The appendix provides several additional resources.
